About The B Squared

My name is Bianca and I am the momma to be. I am turning 36 in July 2013. We have been trying to have a baby for about 2 years (yes we started not not trying a little while before we got married). I have had 2 miscarriages since our wedding in August 2012. One at 7 weeks, 2 days after I confirmed with the doctor that I was pregnant :(, the second 3 months later at 5 weeks. The second one I didn’t realise I was pregnant until I had been bleeding for a week. I quit my job about 6 months ago, as I wanted to be less stressed and work harder at falling pregnant. At the beginning of 2013 I decided to start my own company – My Recipe Hampers. You can find out more about that on this page.

My husband is Brian and he is the dadda to be. He is turning 39 this year. He works in IT.

Together we are commonly referred to as The B Squared. We have been married almost a year and are expecting our first baby – The B Squirt.

Both our parents on both sides are still alive and still married to each other. We each have one sibling (me a sister, B a brother). This will be the first grandchild on my side of the family, but the third for B’s parents. My parents celebrated 40 years of marriage this year, and B’s parents will celebrate 50 years of marriage in August 2013.

This blog is really for me to journal about the journey here as well as the journey of my pregnancy and beyond.

Edit (24 Aug 2013): Since I lost my 3rd pregnancy at the end of July at 8 weeks 2 days, I will now use this journal to talk about everything in the process to becoming parents eventually. I have realised I need to let it all out.

And going against all the general advise, I will be sharing every step of the way and not waiting until it’s all official, as I need to let me thoughts out otherwise I tend to keep them in the muscles of my back (according to my chiropractor!)

This makes me so sad for you two. I can’t imagine how this feels, but I do know that this is an excellent platform for emotional release and a great outlet to share with others who may go through similar experiences.
